Mark Hadden

Mark Hadden – Organist and pianist for the traditional services at Mountain Park UMC – his role is ‘instrumental’ in creating an atmosphere of worship, and often involves collaborating with the choir and many soloists/ensembles in the process.

Mark grew up in Lilburn and studied music from a young age. During college, he was the pianist at Midway UMC in Auburn, GA, and he joined the staff at Mountain Park UMC in 2018. He graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.A. in Piano Performance and is currently pursuing a Master of Actuarial Science degree at Georgia State University’s Robinson College of Business.

When he’s not practicing music or studying for actuarial exams, Mark enjoys listening to classical music, petting cats, rare steaks, outdoor adventures, and spending time with his wife, Rachel, and their son, Garrison.

Mark is inspired by music that challenges us and brings us closer to understanding God’s glory. He is motivated by and often thinks of James 4:17 (NIV): “If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them.” Mark cares about serving others in any way we are led by the Spirit - and he prays that as believers we seek to grow in our faith individually with Jesus, and then express that faith through our words and actions to transform our families and communities.
