Rev. Tyler Jackson

Rev. Tyler Jackson is the Associate Pastor at Mountain Park UMC, leading our Contemporary Worship experience on Sunday mornings, developing MPUMC’s intentional discipleship culture, and assisting with pastoral care needs of the church.

Tyler has been proudly serving MPUMC for the last 3.5 years. Before coming to MPUMC, Tyler was a part of a new church launch team in East Atlanta.

Tyler graduated from The University of Georgia with a B.F.A (Bachelor of Fine Arts) in Conceptual Art. Tyler earned his Mdiv (Master of Divinity) from Emory University’s Candler School of Theology in 2014. Tyler became ordained as an Elder in Full Connection with the United Methodist Church in June 2019.

In his spare time, Tyler enjoys spending time with his wife, Natalie, and their children, Gabriel and Penelope. He also enjoys reading, watching Netflix, listening to a variety of podcasts, as well as finding new ways to channel his creativity.

One of Tyler's favorite scriptures is Romans 8:31-39 (CEB). These verses inspire Tyler to boldly live his faith in Jesus in real ways for others. Tyler constantly seeks ways to encourage and build others up in this amazing promise of God's love for everyone.

Tyler is passionate about helping others see just how deeply God loves them and how God calls them to a life of purpose and meaning. Tyler desperately wants people to experience the beautiful richness of having a relationship with God and seeing how this relationship changes their lives. Tyler wants to help people live into a more full expression of God’s Kingdom here and now, by “Living Jesus. Loving Community."
