Finding Jesus on the Journey of Life.
MPUMC Youth (Middle and High Schoolers)
At Mountain Park UMC we believe that entering middle school marks a unique point in a young person’s life and spiritual development, and offer a variety of programs for our young people throughout middle and high school. It is our goal to partner with parents in the spiritual formation of youth from 6th - 12th grade. We strive to provide our youth and their parents with the tools they need to support faith development in our programs and at home. MPUMC Youth Ministry seeks to teach our youth how to build a life-long relationship with God, as well as how to build lasting relationships with their peers and adult leaders who care about them.
We offer a variety of discipleship, worship, and mission opportunities. We are committed to leading all of our programming/experiences with our youth in a safe, nurturing, positive, and fun environment.
SUNDAYS
Sunday school
We host a Sunday School class specifically for our 6th-12th grade youth weekly in the Youth Room from 9:45-10:45AM, and invite them to join us in either of our 11AM Worship Services afterwards.
Our youth who attend Sunday School have an opportunity to dive deeper into God’s Word and learn more about how to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. Our goal for Sunday School is to teach our students how to interpret and apply God’s Word to their daily lives.
*Want to bring your child for Sunday School but not sure if you’ll have a place to go to? Our Adult Drop-In Bible Study meets weekly on Sunday mornings at 9:45AM in the upstairs Parlor, requires no pre-reading or preparation, and is hosted by some wonderful, welcoming people who are always happy to see new faces! You can find all the information about this class and other adult Sunday morning classes here.
Sunday Night Youth
Our Sunday Night Youth (SNY) program meets every Sunday evening during the school year (with breaks for holidays) from 5-7PM in the Youth Room.
SNY is a dedicated space that is welcoming and spiritually nourishing for our middle and high schoolers. We fellowship, engage in worship and small groups, and do a variety of fun activities. Each week we have dinner together and participate in a different group activity. Check out our calendar or Facebook page to see what we have coming up!
WEDNESDAYS
WEdnesday Night Youth
Every Wednesday during the school year, our Mountain Park UMC community gathers for Wednesday Night Dinner and programming. After dinner, from 6:30-7:15PM, we offer Wednesday Night Youth (meet us in the Family Life Center).
Wednesday Night Youth is comprised of different activities each week, ranging from arts and crafts to service projects.
We offer a rotating schedule of Adult Education Classes on Wednesday Nights, so know that if you see one that interests you, we’ll have your kids covered!
