We offer programs for Infants, Preschoolers, and Elementary Schoolers

At Mountain Park UMC we believe that children are important members in the family of God and our church. It is our goal to partner with parents in the spiritual formation of children in our community from birth through 5th grade. We strive to equip parents with the tools they need to support faith development at home. 

Mountain Park wants to help children know and build a relationship with a kind and loving God. We want children to get to know and learn about the Bible. We want our children to learn what it means to have a servant heart. We want to empower children to express their faith and be leaders in our congregation and community.

SUNDAYS FOR KIDS

Nursery - 9:45am-12:00pm

The nursery is offered for children Birth through PreK on the Preschool Hallway.

The primary focus for our infants and toddlers is to provide a safe, loving, and nurturing place.

The primary focus for our Preschoolers is to provide a safe, loving, and nurturing place where they can begin to learn about their faith through Bible stories, songs, and play.

Sunday School - 9:45-10:45am

Birth through PreK gather on the Preschool Hallway, while K-5th Grade meet in the Park by the upstairs offices.

Children of all ages attending Sunday School have the opportunity to learn about God’s word, faith, and being a witness. Children attending Sunday School will enjoy a variety of activities such as interactive Bible stories, games, crafts, and other engaging activities.

Our Adult Drop-In Bible Study meets weekly on Sunday mornings at 9:45am in the Parlor, requires no pre-reading or preparation, and is hosted by some wonderful, welcoming people who are always happy to see new faces! Read more about our Adult Sunday School Classes.

Worship in the park - 11:00am-12:00pm

For children in Kindergarten through 5th Grade in our children’s space known as the Park! This takes place during our Traditional and Contemporary Services.

Worship in the Park provides a place for kids to worship and develop a growing relationship with Jesus. We learn about the basics of “adult” worship services while also mixing in fun games and activities.

Children will be invited to worship with their families a couple times a year during Unified services. On these special Sundays we will not have Worship in the Park. Read more about our Worship Services.

Calling all 3rd, 4th, and 5th Graders!

Join us the first Sunday of the month beginning October 4th

These Sundays are intended to give our 3rd, 4th, and 5th Graders an opportunity to dive deeper into their faith walk. There will be time for fellowship, discussion, and fun!

WEDNESDAYS FOR KIDS

During the school year following Wednesday Night Dinner, we offer programs for children Birth through 5th Grade!

Worship Arts Ministry (WAM) - 6:30-7:30pm

We meet in the Family Life Center. Children in Kindergarten through 5th Grade are invited to join us for an artistic outlet with a spiritual focus. Each week we learn new techniques in music and art, and occasionally even get the chance to perform in church services.

NURSERY - 6:30-8:30pm

For children Birth through PreK on the Preschool Hall. If parents are in the Chancel Choir K-5th Grade children will be escorted by Ms. Rebekah to the Nursery for Childcare.

We offer a rotating schedule of Adult Education Classes on Wednesday Nights, as well as Traditional Worship Chancel Choir practice, so know that if you see something that interests you, we’ll have your childcare covered!
