DIRECTOR OF CHILDREN’S MINISTRY

Position Overview

Mountain Park UMC is seeking a creative and innovative leader to serve as Director of Children's Ministry, a role that is part of our Family Ministries Team. We are seeking a team player who can grow with a thriving, diverse community of believers. This person will enter sacred places of wonder with our children and their families.

This position is best suited for individuals with a passion for working with children, an understanding of Wesleyan/United Methodist theology and mission, and an openness to learn and grow into the position.

The Director of Children's Ministry will create space for children and their families to experience their faith fully through children's worship experiences and intergenerational relationship building. They will empower volunteers to embody their gifts through the ministries of the Church and come with wonder and a willingness to explore the depths of faith and discipleship with the children and families of Mountain Park UMC. The Director will also supervise any staff or contractors involved in ministries for children (birth through Fifth Grade).

Bachelor’s Degree Required.

Position Overview

We are seeking a team player who can grow with a thriving, diverse community of believers. This person will enter sacred places of wonder with our youth and their families.

This position is best suited for individuals with a passion for working with adolescents, an understanding of Wesleyan/United Methodist theology and mission, and an openness to learn and grow into the position.

The Director of Youth Ministry will create space for youth and their families to experience their faith fully through youth worship experiences, service projects, youth group meetings, and intergenerational relationship building. They will empower volunteers to embody their gifts through the ministries of the Church and come with wonder and a willingness to explore the depths of faith and discipleship with the youth and families of Mountain Park UMC. The Director will also supervise any staff or contractors involved in ministries for youth (Sixth Grade through age 18).
