The Christmas season (known in church as “Advent”) is about anticipating the birth of Jesus Christ, who comes to bring salvation to the world. Through Jesus’ birth, we celebrate the Hope that’s born in the world among us as well as in our hearts today! As followers of Jesus, we seek to share this Hope to those around us through the joy, peace, and love that we give throughout this special season.
Throughout this season, we welcome and invite you to join us for upcoming community events, serving opportunities to help those in need, worship services, and more!
2025 MPUMC ADVENT & CHRISTMAS CALENDAR
ThurSDAY, DECEMBER 4 - ADVENT WORSHIP & ART NIGHT
6:30PM | FAMILY LIFE CENTER
Join us for a night of worship through music and art with a purpose. We will have opportunities to make several different art projects as we celebrate the coming of Christ with seasonal worship songs. Invite your friends, neighbors, and family to join you! We will have options for all ages. Please bring a treat to share. We will provide hot beverages to go with them!

SATURDAY, December 6 - SWEETS WITH SANTA
2:00 PM | FAmily life Center
Crafts, sweets, performances, and a chance to visit with Santa Claus! Our community is invited to join us for this fun-filled event as we celebrate the true reason for the season - God’s love sent down to earth!
SUNDAY, December 7 - COMMUNITY CAROLING
MEET AT 5:00PM | YOUTH ROOM
Come join us for dinner and a cheerful caravan trip around Lilburn to carol to our community! All are welcome, please contact Hope Lewellen if you need to coordinate a ride or are willing to drive others!
FRIDAY, DECEMBER 19 - Christmas Choir Concert
7:30 PM | Sanctuary
Our Christmas Concert this year is December 19 at 7:30 pm. If you or anyone you know would be interested in joining the festival chorus for this glorious tradition, special rehearsals are Wednesdays at 7:00pm and run until the concert. The music is wonderful, the baked goods are delicious, and there are more than a few surprises! Join us!

WEDNESDAY, December 24 - christmas eve Worship
Christmas Eve is the worship and celebration on the eve of Jesus’ birth! This day is the culmination of the Advent season that has been filled with eager waiting and anticipation. This year, we have three worship opportunities that day. Learn more about each worship opportunity below!
