"Building the Kingdom of God"

Often, we talk about and use the terms “heaven” or “the Kingdom of God” in abstract ways, but the Gospel clearly points to the Kingdom of God being a present reality among us, here and now. As followers of Jesus, our goal is to move past living only for ourselves and to begin living for all those whom God loves. We are called to have a deep personal relationship with God and with each other to build God’s Kingdom together.

On this Sunday, Pastor Tyler shares that when we live beyond ourselves in partnership with God, amazing things happen!

SCRIPTURE PASSAGE: Matthew 6:9-13 (NLT)

After the Easter season, we celebrate Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit filled God’s people. The Holy Spirit is still leading and guiding us through the wildernesses of our lives just as the Spirit led the people of Israel in the wilderness. A fresh new wind of the Spirit blew upon the Church on the day of Pentecost just as it was prophesied in Joel 2:28, “I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. The Church received power on that day to become Jesus’ “witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” The Holy Spirit builds up the body of Christ by filling us with the characteristics of God for the work of ministry. Following Jesus’ death, on the third day, he rises and walks out of his tomb alive and well! Jesus’ resurrection signals to us a new beginning! No longer does our story end in death but, instead, extends into new life in Christ. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead extends to us so that we can experience freedom, joy, and an abundant life on this side of eternity. Palm Sunday 2021 - "Because It's Worth It"

Palm+Sunday+Art+Alive-Title.jpg

All throughout the season of Lent we have been following Jesus’ ministry, which shows and models for us what God’s love looks like being lived out. All of Jesus’ ministry prepares him for his ultimate sacrifice and expression of God’s love. Palm Sunday marks the beginning of the events that lead Jesus to fulfilling God’s promises of redemption and new life. As Jesus enters into the city of Jerusalem during an important religious festival, everyone begins to celebrate God’s work through Jesus by shouting “Hosanna” and waiving palm leaves. This is how this Sunday has earned its name.

On this Sunday, Pastor Tyler shares how Jesus’ loving obedience to the Father teaches us how to live out, fulfill, and celebrate God’s promises

SCRIPTURE PASSAGE: Matthew 21:1-11 (CEB)

"Even in Death"

Learning to Love_fb coverphoto copy.jpg

Jesus’ ministry was about living out God’s love – abiding in, teaching, and showing us the Love of God. Jesus’ embodied, divine Love overcame every boundary and barrier that separated people from God and each other; it broke through shame, deception, prejudice, pain, and sorrow to bring healing and wholeness and it also overcame sin and death to bring redemption and restoration. That divine Love is what led to Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross and it’s the same Love that raised him from the tomb. Throughout the season of Lent, we will be following Jesus’ ministry and, along the way, learning how to live like Jesus in order to become ambassadors of God’s Love.

On this Sunday, Pastor Ellynda shares how learning to live like Jesus means giving ourselves completely to God.

SCRIPTURE PASSAGE: John 12:20-33 (CEB)
