"Even in Darkness"

Learning to Love_fb coverphoto copy.jpg

Jesus’ ministry was about living out God’s love – abiding in, teaching, and showing us the Love of God. Jesus’ embodied, divine Love overcame every boundary and barrier that separated people from God and each other; it broke through shame, deception, prejudice, pain, and sorrow to bring healing and wholeness and it also overcame sin and death to bring redemption and restoration. That divine Love is what led to Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross and it’s the same Love that raised him from the tomb. Throughout the season of Lent, we will be following Jesus’ ministry and, along the way, learning how to live like Jesus in order to become ambassadors of God’s Love.

On this Sunday, Pastor Tyler shares how learning to live like Jesus means loving the Light more than the darkness.

SCRIPTURE PASSAGE: John 3:14-21 (NIV)

THIS WEEK’S BIG IDEA: Learning to live like Jesus means loving the Light more than the darkness.

The Ripple Effect_fb coverphoto.jpg

Every word and action we make has an effect. They can be used to do good or they can be used to do harm. As followers of Jesus, we should see our lives connected to God, who is the source of all things good, holy, and pleasing. As a result, we should strive to deepen and grow that connection so that we are filled with and we produce more and more good in our world. In other words, God’s goodness should radiate outward through our lives – like a ripple effect – positively impacting and transforming our lives and the lives of those around us for the better. In this series, we want you to take a look at your life and see how every aspect has the opportunity to radiate God and bless others.
