"The Jesus Capacity"

Life can feel overwhelming, hectic, and anything but balanced. It seems that the pace of this world continues to accelerate indefinitely. But God has designed a different way for us. Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Join us during the month of August as we explore how to live a balanced life by living "inside out," rooted in God to give us the capacity to live out his plan for us and our community.

Our scripture for today is Hebrews 10:10 CEB as we explore how living out from God gives us the capacity to “live Jesus” in the world around us.

"Keep Growing Together"

The birth of the church movement comes 50 days after the Resurrection story where the power of the Holy Spirit is given to the disciples of Jesus, which then equipped and empowered them to fulfill and live into building the Kingdom of God through transforming relationships and communities, also known as “the church.” During our series, we look at how the gift and power of the Holy Spirit draws us together to be the church for a broken, hurting world.

This week, we explore these reflection questions:

  1. How do you respond to messiness?

  2. How does God call you to respond to messiness?

  3. How do you speak the truth in love and build each other up?

SCRIPTURE PASSAGE: Ephesians 4:2-6, 11-16 (NIV)

"Share Like It"

The Easter story is an amazing account of Jesus overcoming death by walking out of the tomb into new life. Resurrection is a source of hope and abundance for all of us because it means that the worst parts of our life-story aren’t the end of our story.  Jesus has given us His victory of Resurrection so that we might have new life and life everlasting. The Easter story isn’t something we only remember, it’s also something to celebrate and live into today. As we live out the Resurrection, our life-story becomes a part of the greater, ongoing Easter story that is still unfolding today. As we celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus, we know that the tomb is empty and we are invited to live like it!

This week, we explore these reflection questions:

  1. How have I known God’s love?

  2. How can I share God’s love with others?

SCRIPTURE PASSAGE: John 17:20-26 (NIV); Luke 24:50-53 (CEB)

Easter Sunday 2022

Following Jesus’ death, on the third day, he rises and walks out of his tomb alive and well! Jesus’ resurrection signals to us a new beginning! No longer does our story end in death but, instead, extends into new life in Christ. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead extends to us so that we can experience freedom, joy, and an abundant life on this side of eternity. Easter Sunday is about celebrating Jesus giving you and me a brand new start! And it doesn’t matter who you are or where you’ve been, it’s God’s gift for you.

This week, we explore these reflection questions:

  1. How does this story speak to you?

  2. How have you experienced (ongoing) Resurrection in your life?

  3. Where do we need Resurrection in our life?

  4. What new things happening in your life may God be starting?

  5. What are we doing with those things?

SCRIPTURE PASSAGE: Luke 24:1-12 (NIV)

THIS WEEK’S BIG IDEA: Remember what God has done and trust the new things God will continue do.

Maundy Thursday 2022

As we reflect on Jesus' days leading up to the cross, Holy Thursday or Maundy Thursday is traditionally the time when we remember Jesus' last supper with his disciples. Not only do Jesus and his disciples share this sacred meal together, but Jesus also models humility and servitude through the act of washing his disciples’ feet.
