CROSSROADS YOUTHcrossroads(color) – The Youth Ministry of Mountain Park UMC

The Crossroads Youth Ministry of Mountain Park United Methodist Church exists to create a community based on love for one another, following the example of Christ. We will foster relationships between youth, adults, and the Divine; in which, young people come to know their own faith, reach out to others, and are committed to mission in our community and beyond.

Sunday School

youth_roomWe have assembled a team of teachers who will be utilizing one curriculum to bring cohesiveness to the program. Middle school and High School youth will be taught the LIVE Curriculum from Simply Youth Ministry. LIVE spans 6 years and gradually takes a youth deeper and deeper into specific faith development issues and topics. LIVE follows a curriculum template similar to the one we will be teaching on Sunday nights, so Sunday School will compliment Sunday Nights and vice versa. Both Sunday School will meet in the youth room, have a time of combines announcements and prayer, and then split into middle school and high school classes.

Sunday Night Program

In order to ensure that our youth get a well rounded faith development during their times of discipleship on Sunday nights, we have created a two year, rotating curriculum template. During a youth’s 7 years in Crossroads they will go through this template approximately 3 times. As they age, subjects will be shared on a deeper level to appropriately match the youth’s stage of cognitive development.
